The next Lincoln Area Chamber of Commerce meeting will be held at noon Thursday, May 13 at the Arkansas Country Doctor Museum in Lincoln. School board president Jim Ayers and school superintendent Frank Holman will both speak and answer questions regarding the upcoming proposal for new millage for the new high school.

Friends of the Lincoln Library is having the library’s annual Books, Blooms and Bake Sale from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m . Friday, May 7 at the Lincoln Community Building.

There will be new and used books for sale, homemade baked goods, potted plants, hanging baskets and combination pots, including tuberous begonias, geraniums, impatiens and Boston ferns — just in time for Mother’s Day!

Proceeds will benefit the Lincoln Public Library.
